Kangana Ranaut recently addressed her apparent shift in attitude towards the Bollywood’s Khans, like Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. Known for her outspoken nature, Kangana clarified in an interview that her battles were never personal and she didn’t hold personal grudges against any of the Khans. She explained that her primary concern had been the limited and often short roles given to female actors in Khan-led films, as well as the age disparities between the actresses and the Khans.
Kangana highlighted the positive change she sees in the industry, with actresses over the age of 35-40 now being cast as heroines opposite the Khans, a significant departure from previous casting practices.
Regarding her perceived shift towards a more diplomatic stance, Kangana attributed it to the numerous defamation cases filed against her. She expressed that while she wasn’t afraid to voice her opinions, the legal battles had become a time-consuming and tiresome process. She remarked that dealing with court cases felt like a significant waste of time, leading her to reconsider her approach.
Kangana’s upcoming film, “Tejas,” is set to release on October 27th, where she portrays an IAF officer. Following this, she takes on the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in a film that she not only leads but also produces and directs. The ensemble cast includes Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, and more. Centered around the events of the 1975 Emergency imposed in India, the film is slated for release in the coming year.
