The most anticipated Tamil film ‘Leo‘ was released in theatres on October 19. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the action thriller received a lot of positive reviews from fans and was acclaimed by many. The movie has already crossed the Rs 500 crore mark and has now stepped into the third week of screenings in theaters. The film on Monday, October 30, earned the lowest ever since its release.The film made Rs 4.5 crore on day 12 of its release, and it is now running in theatres with only 21% occupancy.
Vijay‘s ‘Leo’ is part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, and the movie is a multi-starrer. The cast includes Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priya Anand, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan, Matthew Thomas, Sandy, and Anurag Kashyap, among others. The music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The film was released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.

‘Leo’ is now all set to make its digital premiere, and it is said to release on the international OTT platform Netflix on November 21. The movie is just Rs 67 crore away from breaking the record that Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer’ has made world-wide.
On the work front, director Lokesh Kanagraj has started the work for his next tentatively titled ‘Thalaivar 171’ which will star Rajinikanth in the lead role. The movie will go on the road next year. Meanwhile, Vijay has started shooting for his next ‘Thalapathy 68’. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film’s music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, and the movie features Vijay, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prashanth, Mohan, Yogi Babu, Sneha, Laila, and Prabhu Deva, among others.
