“In today’s time, exposure is extensive, and attention often shifts rapidly. From my perspective, one must maintain an unwavering focus on all endeavors. With clear goals and a steadfast commitment, navigating the highs and lows will eventually lead to success. Just because there are rainy or cloudy days doesn’t mean the sun won’t shine again. The constant exposure to numerous things intensifies desires. Unlike my childhood, when satisfaction came from simple joys, today, everyone craves more,” she explained.

Usha strolled down the memory lane, recounting cherished moments from her childhood. As she reminisced, she subtly conveyed that her early years were characterised by limited exposure, emphasising her desire for a simpler upbringing. “During my school days, I recall a vendor selling something called piyali, akin to ‘ragda,’ outside our school. We found contentment in such simple pleasures. Five-star cuisine was unheard of; we didn’t know about paneer except for cheese, which was a rarity in my house. Craft cheese, a luxury, was occasionally grated on sandwiches by my mother. I got familiar with paneer when I began singing and frequented various hotels and nightclubs. I tasted my first paneer cutlet in Kolkata. It’s incredible to think that I was unaware of what paneer was until my singing career exposed me to these culinary delights,” she concluded.
