Has Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger 3’ been BANNED in Oman, Kuwait, Qatar? Twitterati quip it is ‘because of Katrina Kaif’s towel scene’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

It is almost time for the release of Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger 3’, but according to some viral posts, not everyone will get to witness this spy action film.
Buzz is that the Salman starrer won’t release in Oman, Kuwait and Qatar as it has been banned. A report on boxofficeworldwide states that the decision comes as no surprise after Akshay Kumar’s historical drama Samrat Prithvirajfaced a ban in Kuwait and Oman. The report alleges that the reason for the ban is the portrayal of Islamic countries and characters in a negative light.

Akshay’s Prithviraj, which was released in 2022, created a stir for allegedly ‘distorting history’ and ‘hurting sentiments’ of the Muslim community.

While there is no official confirmation on the same, it is rumoured that Tiger 3, was barred from these countries, for the portrayal of Islamic countries and characters in a negative light. The film’s antagonist, portrayed by Emraan Hashmi is also said to be the leader of a global terror organisation that depicts Islamic countries in a negative light.

However, while the rumours of the ban are still unconfirmed, fans made the most of it and alleged that

Katrina Kaif‘s fight scene in a towel could have also been a reason for the ban.
‘Tiger 3’ hits the big screen on Sunday. It is touted to record one of the best Diwali box office collections of all time.
