Salman Khan‘s Diwali release Tiger 3 has become the superstar’s biggest opener till date. The Maneesh Sharma directorial, which also features Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in the lead, collected Rs 42.25 crore on its opening day despite Lakshmi Puja. The movie, which also treats the audience with starry cameos of Shah Rukh Khan as Pathaan and Hrithik Roshan as Kabir, has shown tremendous growth on day 2.
According to Box Office India, Tiger 3 will easily cross Rs 55 crore nett mark and there is a high chance of the film earning up to Rs 60 crore nett, depending on the last 5-6 hours of business on day 2.
The film’s earnings have shown around 40 per cent growth despite Diwali festivities, which itself is a huge thing. The Salman starrer is now looking to earn Rs 100 crore nett in just two days of its release, as per early estimates.

Earlier in the day, production banner Yash Raj Films (YRF) said that Tiger 3 has earned Rs 94 crore in global gross, making the film the highest earning Diwali release in Hindi cinema. It also said Tiger 3 received the biggest opening day for a Salman film as well as of a movie in the Tiger franchise.
Tiger 3 is a sequel to the 2017 film Tiger Zinda Hai and a part of the studio’s ambitious spy universe that will see characters from Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Hrithik Roshan-led War criss-crossing in future stories.
