Will Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 earn 100 crores in just 3 days? Trade experts explain | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Salman Khan‘s Tiger 3 hasn’t exploded at the box office as expected but it is definitely going to go down in history as the biggest opening on Diwali day and as a unique Sunday release.
Exhibitor Akshaye Rathi says, “Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 has opened extremely well despite the constraint that Sunday was the day for Laxmi Pooja. It is likely to register a Rs 30 crore figure, which should be the biggest for any film that has released on the day of Laxmi Pooja. The odds are always stacked against any film releasing on Diwali day, considering the fact that most people are busy with their pooja and celebrations at home. I expect Tiger 3’s collections to compound heavily in the next three days, which are also festival days.”

Rathi further adds, “Beyond the festival days, it is also important to note how people are receiving Tiger 3 and going by the merit of the film, I really hope it goes a long way. After Jawan, the entire trade needs and deserves another hit and the audience need a film that entertains them.”

Social media has been witness to visuals of the audience dancing to the Tiger 3 song that plays during its closing credits. But there also some in the trade, who feel the film fails in quite a few departments, including music and a concrete storyline.
Executive Director of Gaiety Galaxy cinema Manoj Desai says, “All my shows are housefull but the only concern is that the reports from the viewers are quite mixed about the film.”
While Desai and Rathi talk about how the film may be received by the audience, trade analyst Girish Wankhede is quite optimistic about Tiger 3’s fate at the box office. He says, “It will be the fastest to enter in the 100 and 200 crores club owing to its solo release and the huge excitement built around it. While the high points are action sequences and great chemistry between SRK and Salman Khan, the low points could be listed as ‘routine and lethargic storytelling with a weak villain’. Even the background score isn’t all too strong.”

He further adds, “The first day collections could be approximately Rs 25 crore with Monday going upwards upto Rs 35 crore and then again Tuesday making another Rs 40 crore. Tiger 3 will reach 100 crores in 3 days and then look upwards owing to the solo release and positive word of mouth.”
Trade analyst Atul Mohan adds, “With an impressive opening day collection ranging between Rs 38-40 crore, Tiger 3 is poised to set an all-time record on the auspicious occasion of Diwali. The initial reports and reviews present a mixed perspective, showcasing a blend of excitement and critical analysis. But even that is adding to the intrigue surrounding this cinematic spectacle.”
