He expressed feeling disheartened during the initial release of the film.
The filmmaker even admitted being very dramatic in his head, so he walked to a temple. He shared that his father Yash Johar had told him that if this film flops, they will have to go back to their old house because they had put all their money into that film whatever they made on ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’.
However, the movie was loved by the audience and the critics alike. It is still one of the most loved films of Karan Johar that boasts of some chartbuster songs that are still fresh in the memories of fans. The film also starred Hrithik Roshan, Farida Jalal, Johnny Lever, Alok Nath and others.
