‘Friends,’ is one of the sitcoms that is loved by people of all age groups. Each episode of this 10-season series is packed with laughter, drama, and emotions. Thus, picking one episode in particular and calling it a favorite cannot be an easy job. However, late actor Mathew Perry, in an old interview in 2004, spoke about the episode that was his favorite from the show.
While speaking to Entertainment Weekly Mathew Perry, better known for his character Chandler Bing revealed that his favourite episode was from season one, titled – ‘The One With The Blackout.’ In the respective episode, during a city-wide power outage, Chandler was stuck at an ATM vestibule with Victoria’s Secret model, Jill Goodacre. According to Perry, it was one of the most interesting episodes as he didn’t speak much. He recorded what he was supposed to say, and he only had to react to his own voiceover.
He mentioned it wasn’t a difficult task, as Jill Goodacre is absolutely gorgeous. Also, since he was able to watch three-quarters of the show, with his five co-stars doing an amazing job, it was like an added bonus. He said it was the first time he realized what an impressive job the show is doing.
Mathew Perry left the mortal world at the age of 54 on October 28. In a joint statement, the cast of ‘Friends’ mourned Perry and said, “We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family, there is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.” The statement further read, “In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”
