Popular Bengali actor Parambrata Chattopadhyay who has also done a lot of work in Hindi like ‘Kahaani‘, and many web-shows like ‘Mumbai Diaries 2’, tied the knot today at his residence in a private ceremony. Parambrata married his girlfriend Piya Chakrabortyand it was a registry marriage in the afternoon, with only a handful of close friends and relatives in attendance.ETimes had reported this earlier in the day, however, Parambrata has now confirmed the news as he shared first pictures with his wife.

It was a registered marriage indeed as one can see in these photos. Reportedly, Parambrata and Piya were in a relationship for two years but neither of the two admitted to it. Piya works at an NGO and was earlier married to composer, singer Anupam Roy. As per sources, their marriage fell apart when Piya and Parambrata got close and fell in love.
A while ago, the actor was asked about his relationship status and he just said, “Shob e maya… achhe kintu nei” (It’s all maya, it’s there but not quite).” While they’ve not commented on their relationship, Parambrata and Piya were seen celebrating Durga Ashtami together last month.
