Ankita Lokhande is a household name and despite the fact that she’s seen in different avatars on television and movies, along with reality shows – the actress is largely remembered for ‘Pavitra Rishta‘. She was paired opposite Sushant Singh Rajput and the duo became one of the most popular on-screen pairs of television. Ankita had also ventured into movies with Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi’, however a while ago, she had revealed that she didn’t get any offers post that.
Ankita had spoken during an interview with Bollywood Bubble that she never got any scripts in her hand post ‘Manikarnika’. The reason was that she didn’t have a Godfather who would push her to that level. She never receieved enough scripts to be able to choose or say no. The market outside is quite different, said Ankita, adding that she cannot go to people, please them and ask for work.
However, things slowly started changing for her as she started getting roles. She was seen in a short film called ‘The Last Coffee’. She had said that people don’t have the time to give importance to talent. She had also confessed that she doesn’t want to do small roles in any film or just stand besides some heroine. She said she would rather do a television series which is hers and where she gets to do more because she will be appreciated and valued there. Ankita further revealed that everone everyone has a camp in the industry and she wants to make her own camp.
During an interview with ETimes, Ankita had confessed that she’s working more after she got married to Vicky Jain. “You need to work more after you get married. I’m lucky to have someone like Vicky in my life who literally pushes me and motivates me to do my best in life. He keeps telling me that I’m talented so I need to work more and he gives me that push. I am the kind of a girl who needs a push in life and because I’m getting it from my husband Vicky, I’m doing very good in life and my career too! Furthermore, after watching ‘The Last Coffee’ I felt, I’m made for this and I have to perform more, I have to do more work,” she said.
