Ranbir Kapoor‘s ‘Animal‘ has got an ‘A’ certificate by the censor boardas the film is filled with a lot of violence. One gets a glimpse of that in the trailer. While there’s a lot of buzz surrounding the movie, the ‘A’ certificate might certainly limit the film’s audience. As it happened in the case of ‘OMG 2’ which was granted an ‘A’ certificate instead of a ‘U/A’ certificate. In a recent interview, Vanga has reacted to whether he thinks the film will manage to make Rs 1000 worldwide being an adult movie.
Reacting to it, Sandeep said in an interview with ‘The Hindu’ that he’s very glad that ‘Animal’ got an A certificate because it’s not for anyone under the age of 18. He added that he won’t show the movie to his son Arjun or his brother’s kids or anyone’s children. He further said that he might make a child-friendly cut of the film. He has children in his extended family from the age of eight months to 17 years and this film is not for them.
Talking further of the film’s commercial prospects, Vanga said that while he cannot predict if the film will make Rs 800 crore or 1000 crore, he can confidently say that the film will move and titillate the audiences and make them think.
Meanwhile, some latest reports suggest that despite the ‘A’ certificate, the censor board has cut some intimate scenes between Rashmika Mandanna and Ranbir in the movie. ‘Animal’ also stars Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles.
The film is clashing with Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Sam Bahadur’ on December 1.
