Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal grosses about Rs 11 crores for its USA premieres | Hindi Movie News – Times of India



Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal has set the box office on fire not only in India but also in America. The film had a slow start as far as its advance booking was concerned, facing competition from Salaar: Part One- Ceasefire but once the trailer was released, Animaltickets began selling like hot cakes. And now with the numbers coming in, the film has grossed more than $1.3 million ( Rs 10.81 crore) for its premiere shows from 700 theaters, where shows were beginning from 5:30 PM.After a fantastic start like this, it would be interesting to see how the film fares from now on.

Reports coming out are also saying that the Animal’s numbers are twice the collection of Ranbir’s last major international release Brahmastra: Part One-Shiva had made, it collected $700K ( Rs 5.82 crore). It is also being suggested that the breakeven mark for Animal is $3.8 million which it should cross by tomorrow and from that point on major profits would start coming, which simply means the film is expected to mints more than $1 million on each of the days.

Ranbir recently spoke about how real life experiences shaped his portrayal in the film. He said , “I lost my father and I feel everyone who loses a parent, they feel they haven’t spent enough time with them. While I was growing up, my father was very busy. Shooting most of the time, doing double shifts, he was traveling. So, somewhere we saw him with a lot of love and respect but there was never really a friendly relationship between us. We could not just sit and chat and I have this one regret in my life that I wish I could be friends with my father. I wish I could share everything with him. That is one regret I will always live with.”
Besides Ranbir Kapoor, Animal stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Triptii Dimri. It will clash with the Vicky Kaushal starrer, Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur. This movie tells the story of India’s first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw and his role in carving out Bangladesh.
