Triptii Dimri has been garnering immense love and appreciation from fans for her performance in Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal.’ However, one of her scenes in the movie has sparked a controversy wherein Ranbir’s character, Vijay Singh, asks Zoya Riaz, portrayed by Triptii, to lick his shoe as a test of her love. The actress has now addressed the controversy surrounding this particular scene. In an interview with The Indian Express, the ‘Laila Majnu’ actress while mentioning an important lesson from her acting coach saying ‘Never judge your character’, said ‘In that moment, I thought that here was a woman who talks about killing the entire family…. If someone tells me that, I will perhaps beat that person!’ Reflecting on her scene, she shared, ‘While he did ask her to perform that act (lick his shoe), he eventually walked away.’ She added, ‘It’s evident he’s grappling with intense thoughts and emotions. Later, when his cousin inquires about handling her, he opts to let her go wherever she pleases.’ Meanwhile, speaking of the film, helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, ‘Animal’ is having a monstrous run at the box office, collecting over Rs 500 crore in just six days.
