Kareena Kapoor Khan‘s timeless acting skills and beauty have earned her a special place in people’s hearts. Her recent OTT release, ‘Jaane Jaan,’ garnered wide attention from both audiences and critics. Now, the actress is all set to captivate her fans with the movie ‘The Buckingham Murders,’ directed by Hansal Mehta.
During Netflix’s The Actors’ Roundtable 2023, Kareena Kapoor shared her experience of breathing life and strength into her character.In this film, she portrays the role of a mother who becomes a detective after her child is shot to death. The painful turn of events leads the mother to investigate her own child’s death, eventually leading to her shift to another city.
The actress revealed that she intentionally limited her knowledge about the character on set, wanting to detach herself as the intense grief affected her deeply. She perceived the character as profoundly unhappy, immersed in sorrows and problems.
Furthermore, Kareena confessed her admiration for crime dramas but admitted finding this particular role disturbing after a certain point. She also mentioned that the movie was initially planned for a theatrical release but was later decided to be released on OTT platforms.

‘The Buckingham Murders,’ created by Aseem Arrora, Kashyap Kapoor, and Raghav Raj Kakker and directed by Hansal Mehta, boasts an exceptional ensemble cast, including Kareena, Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, and Keith Allen. Notably, Kareena Kapoor Khan makes her debut as a producer with this movie.
