The film has achieved the broadest distribution for any Ranbir Kapoor movie, surpassing his earlier release, “Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva,” which was distributed by Disney.

The film opened to big numbers in the first week, amassing about $9.3 million, and added another $2.46 million over the second weekend, taking the total of $11.76 million and over.The film was expected to slow down, but it remained consistent on Monday, collecting $251454, taking the grant total of the film over $12 million. With Tuesday numbers still being compiled, it is now clear that the film has beaten Ranveer Singh’s Padmaavat ( $12.17) and Aamir Khan’sDangal ( 12:39) to reach the 5th spot of highest ever grossing Indian film ever in US markets
The only films above Animal currently in the US markets are RRR, Jawan, Pathaan and Baahubali- 2: The Conclusion. The big challenge for the film is the collection of RRR which is $15.15 million.
