Throwback: Vicky Kaushal recalls the time when his bank balance was zero | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Vicky Kaushal is one of the finest actors in the country today he’s proved his stature with films like Sardar Udham, Sam Bahadur, Masaan and many more. But there was a time when his bank balance was zero, the actor recalled his journey into the world of movies.

Not many are aware that Vicky entered the world of movies after completing his engineering degree, while his classmates had secured high paying jobs where he was knocking on the doors for auditions.He got his first break in an ad for which he was paid Rs 2000.
In his conversation with Ranveer Allahabadia , he recalled his journey. He mentioned that the maximum he would get for doing an advertising commercial was Rs 10 to 15 thousand for a day but even for that he would be made to work like a labourer, adding more he stated, “ It feels good to say no plan B. But then I genuinely felt when everyone’s photos were coming on (college) WhatsApp group, my new car, my new flat, my new this, and you are traveling in buses and rickshaws and your bank account is zero.”
“ You are doing theater, and the actor inside you is very happy, because everyday you are doing what you love doing, but you are not getting the money. I remember that in the production house that gave my first income , I got 2,000 rupees in that. I had left a job worth lakhs, but I was feeling like 2,000 rupees was a big achievement” he added.
