In her assessment of the film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Triptii Dimri, the critic described it as “desperately dull” and “terrible.” Upon posting the review, she humorously remarked, “mutes Twitter notifications for 5 years,” recognizing the potential for trolling, as she had previously faced criticism for critiquing Sandeep’s earlier film, Kabir Singh.

The official account for Animal responded to the critic stating, “#Animal remains invictus at the Box Office,” asserting that the film had garnered ₹817.36 Cr worldwide. The critic, however, had a clever comeback. She shared a screenshot of a legendary X post from environmental activist Greta Thunberg to Andrew Tate, which read, “yes. Please do enlighten me. Email me at smalld***energy@getalife.com.”
Several speculations suggest that Sandeep Reddy Vanga himself is managing the Animal Twitter account. Critics have even pointed out what they perceive as “man-child behavior” being exhibited on the platform.
Moreover, when a social media user urged the official Animal account to “Take criticism, man,” they responded with, “Yes. Took and giving it back.”
Animal narrates the tale of a man who comes back to India after his emotionally distant father survives an assassination attempt. Striving to earn his father’s approval, the man embarks on a rampage seeking revenge against those who targeted his father.
