Dunki advance booking: Shah Rukh Khan’s film collects over Rs 5 crore on its opening day | Hindi Movie News – Times of India



After delivering two all-time blockbuster – Pathaan and Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan is all set to return to the silver screen with Rajkumar Hirani‘s upcoming film Dunki, which is ready to hit the theatres on December 21. The advance booking for Dunki was opened a couple of days ago and the film has already collected Rs 5.61 crore in India on its opening day.
According to Sacnilk, Dunki has sold 1,86,753 tickets out of 7855 shows in India for the opening day.This latest update on the film’s collection is only for the Hindi version in the 2D format. The movie is all set to clash with Prabhas starrer Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire at the box office.
Meanwhile, A fan club dedicated to Shah Rukh Khan is set to organise an early morning show of Dunki on December 21 at Gaiety Cinema. SRK Universe, touted as the biggest Shah Rukh fan club, on Sunday said it has planned the “first ever 5.55 am show” at the iconic theatre for the Rajkumar Hirani directorial.

“After first ever 9am show at Gaiety (#Pathaan), first ever 6am show at Gaiety (#Jawan) thrilled to announce we are organizing first ever 5:55AM show at Gaiety (555) for Dunki!” the fan club shared the update on its official Twitter page.

Billed as a saga of friendships, borders, nostalgia for home and love, Dunki is a comedy-drama film based on an illegal immigration technique named ‘donkey flight’. It also stars Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, Vikram Kochhar and Anil Grover.
