Salman Khan and Govinda played perfect partners in crime in the 2007 release ‘Partner’. Their camaraderie made fans eager for a sequel, which never materialised.
Music composer Sajid Khan, who worked on the movie with his brother, late Wajid, has shared an interesting anecdote from the movie. The musician revealed that Salman Khan ended up practicing the choreography a lot, since he had to match steps with Govinda, who is known for his evergreen dance moves.
During a conversation with the YouTube channel The Music Podcast, Sajid revealed that Partner was a dream come true for them, to work with Govinda and Salman khan. Recalling the days, he said, “Salman bhai said Govinda is a very good dancer. He said he’ll have to practice a lot. If you watch the songs of Partner, you will notice that Salman is dancing more perfectly than Govinda. Even though Salman bhai usually doesn’t do that much, he would just move on the beat but because Govinda was there, he practiced too much.”
Salman Khan and Govinda were seen shaking a leg to hits like ‘Soni De Nakhre’ and ‘Do You Wanna Partner’ in the movie.
Currently, Salman Khan is riding high on the success of ‘Tiger 3’ and will begin shooting for ‘Tiger Vs Pathaan’ alongside Shah Rukh Khan in 2024.
