Salaar beats Tiger 3’s collection : to enter Rs 300 club on Thursday – Times of India

Prabhas and Prashanth Neel’s Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire is stamping its authority at the box office with each passing day. The film which released on 22nd December has already broken many records in its 6 day journey, be it collecting Rs 90 crore on its day 1- highest ever Day 1 collection in India or now beating Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s starrer Tiger 3’s collection in India.

Salaar on its 6th day saw its collection plummet another 30 % falling from Rs 24.9 crore on 5th day to collect around Rs 17 crore on 6th day as per early estimates recorded by industry tracker Sacnilk. The film’s current total now stands at Rs 297.40 crore, beating Tiger 3’s collection of Rs 285.52 crore, which it reached by the end of 5 weeks. The movie is expected to enter the Rs 300 crore club on Thursday as it has already collected about Rs 2.44 crore in its advance booking and the number is expected to grow as the day progresses.
One can notice the trend of film’s collection dropping with every passing day but one needs to understand that Salaar still has many holidays around New Years up its sleeve before it finally folds up its theatrical run.
Besides Prabhas, the film also stars Prithivraj, Shruti Haasan, Tinnu Anand, Jagapathi Babu, Easwari Rao and Sriya Reddy.
