Shah Rukh Khan and Sunny Deol, two of the biggest names in the Hindi film industry, were involved in a controversial incident in 1996 while shooting their movie ‘Darr’.When Sunny’s ‘Gadar 2‘ hit theatres earlier this year, the entire industry came together to celebrate it. Even Shah Rukh Khan joined the celebration and was seen hugging Deol.
In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Sunny opened up about his long-standing differences with SRK where he mentioned that ‘everybody has moved ahead’ and is now ‘happy and satisfied’. Elaborating further, the actor added that every one knows what went wrong or right. Sunny said that time is a healer and that it is best to leave it there. Sunny also expressed that he was so happy that everyone turned up at his party.
‘Darr’ completed 30 years earlier this month and Sunny Deol opened up about his equation with Shah Rukh Khan and told PTI, “I’m so thankful to him (Shah Rukh). I remember speaking to him and he was in Dubai for the promotions (of Jawan). I thought he wouldn’t come but he came straight from there. He was there for a little while. I didn’t get a chance to meet or speak to him after that (party) but whenever I do it would be beautiful.”
“We as actors have certain things (that happen) over a period of time. When we are younger, we are a bit different, and as time goes by, we start maturing and we start understanding what life is in reality. All of us have changed quite a lot. That’s the beautiful thing about it. Time is a healer of everything,” he added.
