On Deepika Padukone‘s birthday, makers of Fighter treated fans with a lively behind-the-scenes video showcasing the actress’ playful antics on Siddharth Anand‘s set. The film, hailed as India’s first aerial action spectacle, features Hrithik Roshan as the male lead. The video captures Padukone’s off-screen charisma, offering a glimpse into her playful side before she transforms into the charismatic persona seen on camera.

The video showcases Deepika Padukone showcasing various looks from the songs in the film, and effortlessly embracing the confident Squadron Leader persona from the Air Dragons unit.The BTS video captures her engaging in a playful bhangra step with director Siddharth Anand, she is also spotted sporting a leather jacket and being atop a bike, implying that she will be riding one in the film.
In an interview with India Today, director Sidharth Anand, talking about Deepika’s role in Fighter, had said “Deepika is playing an Air Force officer in Fighter. She’s part of the unit, the elite unit of the Air Force, and it’s based on a lot of reality and authenticity. So it’s something that Deepika has not played before. She has literally bitten into it and, honestly, it’s a lot like her in real life.”
“Deepika is so much fun on set. And, she’s translating that character as a real good ‘takkar’ (competition) to Hrithik’s character. So it’s very exciting,” he added.
