Raid 2: Ajay Devgn starts filming for ‘Raid 2’, film to release in November | – Times of India

After the success of ‘Raid’, Ajay Devgn is reuniting with director Rajkumar Gupta for its second part, ‘Raid 2’. The team has commenced the shoot in Mumbai today, December 6. The makers have also locked the release date. The production house, backing the film took to Instagram to announce the news. In their note, they said, “IRS Officer Amay Patnaik returns for another gripping case! Get ready for intense drama and suspense with Raid 2 on November 15, 2024!”

Ajay Devgn will be reprising the role of IRS Officer Amay Patnaik in ‘Raid 2’.The film has finally gone on floors and the team will be moving to other locations including, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan, after the Mumbai schedule.
The film franchise which celebrates the unsung heroes of the Income Tax Department, will unravel another true case in ‘Raid 2’.

The first installment ‘Raid’ was released in 2018, and it was a success both at the box office and critically acclaimed. The 2018 film was set against the backdrop of Lucknow in the early 1980s. The film was based on a true story of the longest raid in history. Actress Ileana D’Cruz played a pivotal role in the film.

On the other hand, Ajay Devgn will be next seen ‘Maidaan’. The star also has ‘Singham Again’ and ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ in the pipeline.
