Rajkummar Rao recounts the time when the entire ‘Stree’ team got spooked while shooting at a haunted fort | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

After the success of ‘Stree‘ in 2018, fans are eagerly waiting for the second instalment of the horror comedy franchise. The film starred Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles.
In a recently-released book on Bollywood’s encounters with the paranormal, it is mentioned that during a shoot in Bhopal, the crew was filming at an old fort rumored to be haunted one night. The team received instructions not to wear perfume, create smoke, and to avoid being alone in the fort. Despite these warnings, a technician from the lighting team sat a bit apart from the rest. Shortly after midnight, while the Director of Photography, Amalendu Chaudhury, was overseeing lighting adjustments perched high on a wall, a sudden scream echoed through the air.

Rajkummar Rao, who wasn’t present at the scene but learned about the incident afterward from colleagues, shares in the book that the lightman who fell to the ground claimed he had been pushed. The strange part was that there was no one around him, but he remained adamant about being pushed. Despite an extensive search, the person responsible could not be identified.

Shraddha Kapoor jets off to Chanderi for ‘Stree 2’ shoot; poses for paps at airport

‘Stree,’ directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan, along with Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, who also penned the screenplay, centers around a female ghost haunting Chanderi for four days each year during a religious festival. During this period, she preys on young men wandering alone at night, abducting them and leaving only their clothes behind. However, by the end of the film, the feared entity transforms into the town’s protector. Reports suggest that ‘Stree 2‘ will focus on a headless man, introducing new horror elements to the narrative.
