Agastya Nanda reveals that his mother Shweta Bachchan Nanda takes his case in every way; says trolls have nothing on her | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Super-star Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda recently debuted with an OTT giant’s film ‘The Archies’. The film got mixed reviews from fans and critics alike, but the young man has already bagged his second film with the legendary actor Dharmendra. Titled ‘Ekkis’, Agastya’s film will be directed by Sriram Raghavan. The young actor recently opened up about his mother Shweta Bachchan Nanda in his first ever solo interview.

During his conversation with Film Companion, Agastya mentioned that his mother is the biggest grounding factor in his life, not even his grandfather. “My mom is the biggest grounding factor, not even my granddad. It’s my mother. In every way. She will take my case. I am very under-grounded. I told my mom that these trolls have got nothing on you,” Agastya said. The budding actor also shared that Shweta Bachchan Nanda keeps giving him reality checks. He mentioned that she keeps on telling things like, “Don’t think you are something great, or you are doing a service to anyone. Just work, and work hard, and how one must earn his/her place.”
Without forgetting, Agastya also spoke about how Javed Akhtar complemented his mother about him. In an interview with Rediff, the veteran lyricist said, “I told Agastya’s mother (Shweta Bachchan Nanda), ‘Your son is going to be a star’. The concept of the hero so far has been of the toxic, macho man. Here is an unpretentious and ‘masoom’ hero. Audiences have not seen a hero like Agastya since Rishi Kapoor in ‘Bobby’. Agastya will appeal to all youngsters, especially girls.” Talking about it in the interview, he said that he doesn’t want to be over-smart and decide what he wants to do. For now, it seems that Agastya just wants to go with the flow and let people, with whom he is working, decide what kind of mould they want to put him in.
