Aamir Khan is all set to host a starry reception tonight, to celebrate his daughter Ira Khan‘s wedding with Nupur Shikhare. The family recently returned from Udaipur where they celebrated several wedding festivities.
Who’s who of Bollywood has been invited for this reception and according to Bollywood Hungama, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Kajol, Nysa Devgn, Suniel Shetty-Mana, Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have confirmed their presence for the event.Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan will also make their presence felt at the occasion, considering their bond with Aamir Khan is so strong. Among others, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan have also been invited for Ira and Nupur’s reception, taking the guest list to over 2500.
Aamir Khan will be hosting the reception at NMACC in Bandra Kurla Complex. India Today had reported that 9 state cuisines will be served at this event which includes Gujarati, Lucknowi and Maharashtrian delicacies.
Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare had a registered marriage on January 3 in Mumbai. The couple followed it up with a white wedding in Udaipur. Tearing up during the wedding festivity, an emotional Aamir had shared, “My emotion was like a shehnai. It’s an instrument played in shaadis. Shehnai mein ek quality hoti hain ki who apko thodi si khushi bhi deti hain aur thodi si udasi bhi deti hain. Combo, uska ek mishran hota hain emotions ka shehnai mein. So that’s my emotions (My feelings resembled a shehnai, a musical instrument commonly played at weddings. The shehnai possesses a unique quality of evoking both a hint of joy and a touch of melancholy. In essence, it blends emotions in a harmonious combination, much like the music of a shehnai. That’s how I would describe my emotions).”
