After completing the basic training, Jungkook and Jimin will start their military service on January 18th. On January 16th, it was reported by Ten Asia that the duo will be a part of the 5th Infantry Division, stationed in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi. Interestingly, Jin, another BTS member, is already in the same division, working as an assistant instructor in the recruit training centre.Even though they will be in the same division, their specific roles might differ. Jungkook and Jimin enlisted on December 12, 2023.
It’s important to note that all members of BTS are fulfilling their military duties. Jin started his service in December 2022 and is expected to be discharged in June this year. J-Hope began his military service in April last year, and Suga is currently serving as a public service worker. RM and V entered the Nonsan Training Center in South Chungcheong Province on December 11 last year and recently finished their basic training. RM and V graduated as elite trainees on January 16. The group is planning to come back together for activities in 2025, once all the members have completed their military service.
