The much-awaited trailer of Siddharth Anand’s ‘Fighter‘, starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone has been receiving positive reviews from all sides. Apart from the lead pair, the main antagonist of the film has also been garnering a lot of attention ever since the trailer release.
In Fighter, actor Rishabh Sawhney takes on the role of the antagonist, engaging in a face-off with Hrithik Roshan’s character, Shamsher Pathania, also known as Patty.Sawhney’s journey commenced as a model, gracing the ramp for various fashion designers, including Shantanu and Nikhil. While Fighter marks his entry into mainstream cinema, Sawhney made his acting debut in 2021 with Nikkhil Advani’s period drama series, The Empire, portraying the character of Mehmood, the brother of Babur. The series featured Dino Morea, Kunal Kapoor, and Drashti Dhami in leading roles.

With a substantial following of over 10.2k on Instagram, Rishabh Sawhney is an active user of the platform, regularly sharing glimpses of his life through selfies, photoshoots, and snapshots from his workout sessions. Notably, among his diverse followers are Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan, and Saba Azad, Hrithik Roshan’s girlfriend.

Making his Bollywood debut in Fighter, the actor has quickly become the talk of the town, especially following the release of the film’s trailer. The trailer depicts him embarking on a mission to unleash chaos in India. His initial glimpses in the trailer exude a menacing presence, creating anticipation among fans. There is considerable excitement to see if Siddharth Anand has once again delivered an iconic villain, following the memorable portrayal of Jim (John Abraham) in Pathaan.

Earlier, in an interview with IANS, Rishabh Sawhney expressed his excitement for his Bollywood debut film Fighter. He said, “It is a dream for any actor to see themselves on the big screen one day. And it feels surreal that my dream is about to come true. What makes it more special is that I am getting to do it with names like Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor and under the leadership of Siddharth Anand. Fighter is surely going to be a path-breaking film for Indian film action, and I feel proud to be a part of it.”
The film, which also stars Anil Kapoor and Karan Singh Grover, is all set to hit the theatres on January 25, 2024.
