Sriram Raghavan, the acclaimed director, is basking in the success of his latest thriller, ‘Merry Christmas.’ With a career spanning two decades, he has added another feather to his cap with the Katrina Kaif-Vijay Sethupathi starrer. The director, known for his distinctive storytelling, is enjoying a period of happiness and relaxation after the film’s release.
Speaking to Indianexpress.com, Raghavan said that last week was extremely hectic, they were mixing till the end, finished the film and readied it for release. He is breathing now. He added that overall, this has been a very favourable response. There are some who have not taken it kindly that it is not Andhadhun! Anyway, that was not his intention. Some people hence find the pace slow in the beginning. But for him, this pace was required so that it all ties in the end.
Sriram Raghavan also said that at home if people watch this on OTT, they may stop in 5 minutes, and may not come back again. But in a hall since people have invested your time and money, maybe people will grant him a few more minutes to set up the mood.
‘Merry Christmas’ hit the screens last Friday and marked the director’s return to the cinema halls after his 2018 film ‘Andhadhun’.
