Karan Johar wrapped up the eighth season of ‘Koffee With Karan’ on Thursday, featuring Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry. Noted for his paparazzi photos and associations with star kids, including Kajol’s daughter Nysa Devgan, Orry shared stories from his experiences. He recalled a time when Kajol wasn’t familiar with him and told him of an incident involving Deepika Padukone, where they coincidentally appeared at an event with the same hairstyle.
Talking about the episode featuring Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, Orry said to Karan that when he is watching Ranveer and Deepika speak, he is like, ‘I am relating to Deepika Padukone’. He has never wanted to relate to Deepika Padukone! He is always going to be in awe of her. He remembered once that they had the same bun, and he said to Deepika that they had the same bun. She looked at him like she didn’t know who he was, and he was like, ‘I love you for doing that’.
Asking about his first job, Orry said that his first job, when he was in college in New York, was for the usher position, a highly sought-after position at the Children Should Wash Their Hands Conference. He was Usher number 3 to Kajol, and she probably doesn’t know this. This was in 2013 in New York. He recalled that Kajol was giving this speech, and he asked her security for a humble photo, which she declined.
Last year, Orry’s pictures with Nita Ambani, Deepika Padukone, and other celebrities at the launch of Jio World Plaza went viral.
