The donation was made to the Comprehensive Support Center for Senior Citizens Living Alone at the end of last year. This money is meant to support programs that offer sponsorship and assistance to elderly individuals who are facing challenges in their daily lives.
This isn’t the first time Lee Sung-kyung has shown her generosity. Previously, she made headlines by donating 100 million won to Dankook University Hospital’s Regional Trauma Center, focusing on the development of critical trauma treatment in the country. Her compassion extends to various charitable causes, including contributions during major crises like COVID-19, wildfires, and floods. Lee Sung-kyung’s consistent dedication to helping those in need brings warmth to society.
Expressing her thoughts on the donation, Lee Sung-kyung was quoted by kbizoom, “I wanted to show respect and love to those who have led valuable lives. I hope this small donation can provide some help to elderly individuals living alone, who may feel lonely and isolated. I wanted to end the year by sharing the love I received from many people in 2023 with the world, even if it’s just a little.”
