Were Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal-Katrina Kaif asked to show invites for Ram Mandir pran pratishtha? | – Times of India

Bollywood power couples Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, created quite the fan-frenzy on their arrival in Ayodhya on Monday to partake in the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony.
The star-studded event saw some of the biggest stars from Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan, filmmakers Rohit Shetty and Rajkumar Hirani, actors Kangana Ranaut, Ayushmann Khurrana, Madhuri Dixit Nene, among many other distinguished guests arriving in large numbers to be a part of the ceremony.

As it was a high-security event, several stars were seen pulling out what appeared to be a sheet of paper that they produced before the guards. Only after seeing the document, were the actors allowed to enter the premises. Ranbir and Alia were seen first in line to show the document, followed by the other celebs who had accompanied them on their private jet to the location.

The viral clip gave way to speculation that there was no preferential treatment given to any guests and prompted Twitterati to commend the security. “Good to see no star treatment given to these celebrities,” read a post.

Another video doing the rounds online, saw Vicky, Katrina, Alia and Ranbir zooming off to the Ram Mandir in a golf cart that was waiting for them after clearing the security check at the gate.

Videos from the venue saw Amitabh Bachchan and his son, Abhishek arriving to take their place at the ceremony. At the temple premises, the legendary actor was seen engaged in conversation with Arun Govil, renowned for his portrayal of Lord Ram in the 1987 TV serial ‘Ramayan’.

Kangana Ranaut, who arrived in Ayodhya on Saturday, was also present for the grand ceremony. The actress described the experience as being transported into a “pauranik kaal” and shared snapshots from the temple site. Anupam Kher, who arrived on Sunday, emphasized the unity of the country, transcending religious boundaries.
The contingent from the Indian film industry also included stars like Hema Malini, Rajinikanth, Pawan Kalyan, Madhur Bhandarkar, Subhash Ghai, Shefali Shah, Vipul Shah, Randeep Hooda, Anu Malik, and Sonu Nigam.

For the ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony of the idol of Ram Lalla, all invitees were given a bell to ring during the aarti. Scheduled to commence at 12:20 pm, the ceremony is expected to conclude by 1 pm.
