Expressing a lifelong fascination with Rani Padmavati, he admires her grace, dignity, valor, and inner strength. The director revealed his long-standing desire to create a film depicting her life. Prior to the film, he seized the opportunity to direct a stage musical version of Padmavati, an opera composed by Albert Rousse, in Paris in 2008.
Discussing the film’s cast, the director addressed whether the actors’ previous successes or failures influenced his decision. He emphasized that the actors’ track records had no impact on his choice, expressing satisfaction with the selection of these specific actors. Regardless of their past successes or flops, he stated that he wanted these three actors and commended the quality of performances they delivered in his film.
