Sandeep Reddy Vanga delivered a blockbuster titled, ‘Animal‘ last year with Ranbir Kapoor as the lead actor. The filmmaker recently revealed that the actor had contacted him way before ‘Animal’, after the release of Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Kabir Singh‘.
In a Dainik Bhasker interview, Sandeep mentioned that he no longer checks his text messages regularly, attributing it to the widespread use of WhatsApp for communication.He shared an incident involving Ranbir Kapoor, stating that Ranbir had sent him an SMS, but Sandeep had missed it as he had developed the habit of not checking messages due to the prevalent use of WhatsApp. Sandeep also recalled a similar situation with Anil Kapoor, who had also sent him a message that he had overlooked.

He explained that he often misses reading certain messages due to the sheer volume of messages from sources like banks and Facebook. When questioned about the possibility of Ranbir Kapoor being part of the 2019 Hindi remake of Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh, Sandeep responded promptly, stating that Ranbir had explicitly conveyed his reluctance to take on a remake.

Kabir Singh starred Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani in the leading roles, whereas Arjun Reddy was headlined by Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey.

The movie ‘Animal,’ which premiered in both Hindi and Telugu versions, garnered an impressive response at the box office. Released on December 7, the film features Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, and Anil Kapoor alongside other notable actors. Currently, it is available for streaming on an OTT platform.
