Karan Singh Grover opens up about feeling ‘numb’ during daughter Devi’s open heart treatment | – Times of India

Actor Karan Singh Grover, who as of now is basking in the success of ‘Fighter,’ recently opened up about one of the hardest chapters of his life. In a media interaction, the actor shed light on the challenges he faced during the film’s shoot, particularly dealing with his daughter Devi‘s health diagnosis.
Karan Singh Grover and Bipasha Basu welcomed their daughter, Devi, into the world in 2022. However, last year, the couple revealed that Devi was born with two holes in her heart, necessitating open-heart surgery.
The actor shared the emotional turmoil he experienced having to leave his daughter at home while he went to work. Initially, he wasn’t able to take the diagnosis well enough. He mentioned that before every schedule, he didn’t have the heart to work, as the matter was so serious. He admitted feeling that letting his child go through the pain was worse than accepting death for him.

Recalling a particularly challenging moment during Devi’s treatment, Karan revealed that handing his daughter over to the doctors made him feel numb. He praised Bipasha for her strength, describing her as a “lioness” who became even more formidable after becoming a mother. Grateful for the medical professionals involved, he acknowledged their crucial role in Devi’s journey.
Despite the difficulties, Karan affectionately refers to Devi as the ‘little monkey’ in the family. From her birth to the present, he noted that her joyful and loving nature has remained unchanged.
