The Iron Claw Interview: Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White & Stanley Simons Get Candid
In an exclusive interview with ETimes, the actors revealed that it was Zac who was beaten up the most on the sets. Talking about it, Zac said , “Yeah, probably, I think I got knocked around the most just from the sheer volume of matches Kevin had. I think Kevin had like three matches from start to finish in the film and each one of those was anywhere from 10 minutes to15 minutes. Some of them are 20 minutes in length and we would do them from start to finish every time. Like professional wrestlers, they rehearse probably once or twice and do their performance while we were doing it 20 to 30 times a day for a few days (Smiles).”
The brothers also revealed that it was Harris Dickinson who got Von Erich’s finishing move in The Iron Claw the best. Jeremey stated , “Harrison had the best Iron Claw. He has these big hands and is a tall guy and he had an emotion wrapped in the move, it was like the claw had a mind of its own.”
