Sunny Deol is all set to begin shooting for his debut venture with Aamir Khan’s production house. The actor, soon after the success of ‘Gadar 2’, signed up with Mr perfectionist for this film.
Latest buzz suggests that the makers are in the process of creating the set and the shoot will commence from next week. A source quoted by mid-day stated that director Rajkumar Santoshi has a certain vision for the movie and they have set up a refugee camp to shoot the scenes at Vrundavan shooting studio in Madh Island.This Sunny Deol starrer will reportedly go on floors on February 12.
Recently, Santoshi had revealed that he is collaborating with AR Rahman and Javed Akhtar for this project. Calling it a ‘dream team’, the filmmaker had stated, “For a film of this magnitude, I can’t think of anyone other than AR Rahman as a music composer, he is one of the top composers in the world right now. Javed Akhtar and I share a very good bond with each other for many years. Having him for this project as a lyricist is a delight. This is truly the best dream team and rare to come together. With all the positivity and full of energy, we will commence the shoot for the film very soon.”
Calling ‘Lahore, 1947’ a very special film of his career, Santoshi added, “Also, it’s a reunion with the most talented people. I worked with Aamir in Andaz Apna Apna and this time he is collaborating as a producer. On the other hand, with Sunny Deol, we made the most loved films like Ghayal, Damini, and Ghatak.”
