Bollywood’s ace filmmaker Abbas and Mustan‘s ‘Humraaz’ starring Bobby Deol, Akshaye Khanna and Ameesha Patel has aged well with its music achieving cult status. Now, there are widespread speculations that the filmmaker duo is gearing up to direct a sequel to their 2002 romantic thriller.
In an interview with News 18, Ameesha Patel has opened up about being a part of this sequel. The actress expressed uncertainty while talking about the script. She also mentioned that it was surprising to come across the news of ‘Humraaz 2’ circulating in the media a few days ago. The ‘Gadar 2’ actress added that while she is aware of producers and directors working on the script, she has no confirmation about its finalization. Ameesha Patel chose to remain tight-lipped about the sequel, stating that it is best to leave it to the producer, Ratan Jain, who will address it when he deems it the right time and when the makers feel adequately prepared.
Last year, Ameesha Patel reunited with Sunny Deol for ‘Gadar 2’, which was a massive blockbuster. Speculations suggest that the makers are working on ‘Gadar 3,’ where she might reprise the character of Sakeena once again.
For those unaware, ‘Humraaz’ was inspired by the 1989 American film ‘A Perfect Murder’ starring Michael Douglas and Gwyneth Paltrow. It also starred Johny Lever, Dilip Joshi and Naushaad Abbas in pivotal roles.
