Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3: Vidya Balan Returns, Akshay Kumar Opts Out | – Times of India

Vidya Balan, who was a significant part of the first ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ alongside Akshay Kumar, makes a return to the franchise after being absent from the second installment. At the same time, Akshay Kumar who was replaced by Rooh Baba aka Kartik Aaryan in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaan 2’ will not be a part of the third installment as well.
Renowned director Anees Bazmee has brought Vidya Balan on board for the highly anticipated third installment of the ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ franchise.Speaking to Zoom, the director, who shares a history with Vidya from their collaboration in the film ‘Thank You,’ expressed his gratitude for Vidya’s willingness to be a part of his project.

He recalled Vidya’s generous gesture when she readily agreed to do a 3-day role in his film ‘Thank You,’ which laid the foundation for their professional relationship, leading to Balan’s inclusion in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.’ Bazmee expressed his excitement about starting the shoot in March but hasn’t finalized the exact date.
Further, addressing the absence of Akshay Kumar in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Bazmee clarified that the actor is not a part of this installment. However, he expressed his eagerness to collaborate with Akshay Kumar in the future, emphasizing their strong desire to work together.

Joining Vidya Balan in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 are Rajpal Yadav and Sanjay Mishra. The film is scheduled for a Diwali release later this year, promising an exciting addition to the popular franchise.
Following ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3,’ Anees Bazmee is set to begin shooting for ‘No Entry 2.’
