Yash Emerges as Strong Contender for Hanuman’s Role in ‘Jai HanuMan’ Sequel | – Times of India



Yash, who reportedly after turning down to play the Ravan‘s role in Nitesh Tiwari‘s upcoming ‘Ramayana‘, is in talks to take on the role of Lord Hanuman in the sequel to Teja Sajja’s ‘HanuMan’, which graced the theaters in January 2024.
As per Bollywood Hungama‘s report, Yash is the preferred choice for the makers to essay the role of Lord Hanuman. An insider, speaking to the entertainment portal, disclosed that although Yash was initially considered for the first installment of the movie, it is now probable that he will be officially confirmed for the sequel.
The source close to portal revealed that there seems to be some confusion regarding the casting of Bajrangbali Hanuman. To clarify, Teja Sajja portrayed Hanumanth in HanuMan, and he will reprise the same role in the sequel, Jai Hanuman. Lord Hanuman will be a significant part of the sequel, and Yash is a strong contender for this role. It’s important to note that Yash was not considered for the first film. The narrative circulating about him being considered for the initial movie is incorrect. However, he is highly likely to take on the role of Lord Hanuman in the sequel.
Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor is set to portray the character of Ram, while Sai Pallavi has been cast for the role of Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’. Initially, Alia Bhatt was in discussions for the part of Sita, but due to scheduling conflicts, she opted out. Moreover, Sunny Deol has reportedly been finalized for the role of Hanuman. Additionally, discussions are underway with Vijay Sethupathi for the role of Vibhishana.
