Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter enters the 200 cr club; his third film to achieve the feat after War and Krrish 3 | – Times of India

Hrithik Roshan was teaming up with director Siddharth Anand after delivering two back to back successes in War and Bang Bang. In the interim, Siddharth was responsible for bringing Shah Rukh Khan back on the big screen with Pathaan, which has gone on to become the third highest grossing film of Indian Cinema. So when Hrithik and Siddharth teamed up again in Fighter, everyone was expecting the same kind of result as War and Pathaan.
The film ever since its release, has gone through a roller-coaster of a ride, it collected about Rs 146.5 crore in its opening week, which to many would be considered great, but for trade it was well below the expectation. In the second and third week, the film saw a spike during the weekends but in the weekdays the film would fall flat. And with this rollercoaster ride, the film has finally managed to enter the Rs 200 crore club. The film entered the club on Wednesday, its 21st day at the box office by minting about Rs 1.75 crore as per early estimates by tracker Sacnilk. Wednesday was also Valentine’s day and trade had expected the film to pick up a bit, which is exactly what happened.
With this, Fighter becomes Hrithik’s third film to enter the coveted Rs 200 crore club; his first two films are Siddharth Anand’s War which also featured Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor, and his dad Rakesh Roshan’s Krrish 3.
