Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli celebrate the arrival of baby boy Akaay: ‘With abundant happiness…’

While talking to Simi Garewal, Anushka expressed the significance of marriage in her life, emphasizing her desire to have children and potentially taking a break from her professional commitments. When asked how important was marriage to her, she candidly stated, “Very important. I want to be married. I want to have kids. And, when I am married, I probably don’t want to be working.”
Following her marriage to Virat in a picturesque ceremony in Italy, Anushka’s last on-screen appearance was in Anand L Rai’s “Zero” in 2018, co-starring Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. Since then, she has chosen to step away from the silver screen, focusing instead on her personal life and venturing into production with projects like “Bulbbul” and “Pataal Lok.”
Addressing her hiatus from acting, Anushka revealed her conscious decision to take time off after the hectic schedule surrounding “Zero.” Despite her dedication to work, she felt overwhelmed and sought a break to prioritize her well-being and spend quality time with Virat. She disclosed to Vogue that during the initial six months of their marriage, she spent only 21 days with her husband due to work commitments.

Despite her break from acting, Anushka’s fans can look forward to seeing her return to the screen in Prosit Roy’s sports drama, “Chakda Xpress.” In the film, she will portray the role of Indian woman cricketer Jhulan Goswami, offering audiences a glimpse into the world of cricket. The movie is set to release on OTT, marking Anushka’s comeback to acting after her hiatus.
