Despite high expectations, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya only managed to collect Rs 44.5 crore in its first week. The film started off on a low note, earning just Rs 6.7 crore on Friday. It saw a slight increase in collections over the weekend, with Saturday and Sunday bringing in Rs 9.65 crore and Rs 10.75 crore respectively. However, it experienced a significant drop on Monday, before picking up again on Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, with collections of Rs 6.5 crore.

In its second week, the film continued its roller coaster ride, dropping to Rs 2.85 crore on Friday, then spiking to Rs 5 crore and Rs 6 crore on Saturday and Sunday. The fluctuations persisted, with collections dropping to Rs 2.25 crore on the second Monday, and slightly increasing to Rs 2.10 crore on Tuesday. Early estimates for Wednesday suggest a further drop, with the film collecting Rs 1.75 crore. This brings the total collection of the film to Rs 64.20 crore.
The film will face tough competition starting this Friday, as Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar’s Article 370 is set to release. The film was even mentioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a recent speech. Additionally, Varun Grover’s All India Rank is also releasing, and following the success of Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Vikrant Massey’s 12th Fail, this one can spring a success.
