Bhojpuri industry was plunged into grief following a tragic road accident in Bihar’s Kaimur, claiming the lives of renowned actress Aanchal Tiwari and singer Chhotu Pandey, alongside seven others. The loss of these individuals has left both fans and the industry reeling from the shock.
Police in Bihar’s Kaimur district confirmed on Monday that a tragic crash involving a truck, SUV, and motorcycle claimed the lives of nine individuals, including Bhojpuri singer Chhotu Pandey.Tragically, the accident also resulted in the loss of Bhojpuri actress Simran Srivastava.
On Sunday, tragedy struck near Devkali village of Mohania police station area on GT Road, as reported by Punjab Kesari. Mohania DSP Dilip Kumar confirmed the identities of the deceased on Monday, which included Bhojpuri singer Vimlesh Pandey, also known as Chhotu Pandey. The other victims were identified as Aanchal Tiwari, Simran Srivastava, Prakash Ram, Dadhibal Singh, Anu Pandey, Shashi Pandey, Satya Prakash Mishra, and Bagish Pandey.
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar also condoled the incident and wrote on social media, ”Saddened by the death of people in a horrific road accident near Devkali on NH 2 in Mohania police station area of Kaimur district. Deepest condolences to the families of the deceased. Instructions have been given for proper treatment of the injured. Wishing speedy recovery of the injured.”
