Choi Sung Won to Star in Thriller Drama ‘Pyramid Game’ | – Times of India



Actor Choi Sung Won, known for his role in the hit series ‘Reply 1988’, is making his comeback with the upcoming thriller dramaPyramid Game’. Set to portray the character of Lim Joo Hyung, a homeroom art teacher at Baekyeon Girls’ High School, Choi Sung Won‘s return to mainstream K-dramas has been eagerly anticipated by fans. This marks his significant role following a brief appearance in the 2022 drama ‘From Now On, Showtime!’
‘Pyramid Game’, based on a Naver webtoon of the same name, is a narrative set in the tumultuous environment of Baekyeon Girls’ High School. Each month, a secret popularity vote determines the outcasts among the students, leading to a complex division of victims, perpetrators, and bystanders.
Choi Sung Won portrays the role of the teacher in this turbulent institution. Joining him is WJSN member Bona, acclaimed for her role in ‘Twenty-Five Twenty-One’, portraying the lead character Sung Su Ji, a victim of bullying. Alongside her, IVE member Wonyoung’s sister, Jang Da Ah, plays the role of Sung Su Ji’s classmate, Baek Ha Rin. The stellar cast lineup also includes Ryu Da In, Shin Seul Ki, Jung Ha Dam, Kang Na Eon, and Ha Yul Ri, portraying pivotal characters in the series.
This upcoming drama has been written by Choi Soo Yi and directed by Park So Yeon. Furthermore, the premiere of the first four episodes is slated for February 29.
