Actor Lenaa Kumar recently announced her wedding to Gaganyaan mission astronaut Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair. She confirmed getting married to the astronaut, earlier this year, in January. In a recent interview with Times Now, Lenaa Kumar revealed that it was one of her interviews post the launch of her book ‘The Autobiography of God’ that led her towards this marriage proposal.
“It is an interview I gave regarding this book that got this whole movement of my life changing into this new direction of getting this marriage proposal itself,” Lenaa said.
Lenaa also expressed her happiness in witnessing the historic moment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi conferring astronaut wings to her husband and Group Captain Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair, and three other astronauts for the Gaganyaan Mission, which marks India’s inaugural human space flight program.
Lenaa expressed that she is proud to be the wife of someone who is one of the pioneers of India’s human space flight program. Lena stated that she is proud as an Indian, and this is also a moment of pride for the state of Kerala. “And of course personally it means so much to me. I feel like I’m being of service to the nation!” Lenaa exclaimed.
Speaking about witnessing the historic moment, Lena said, “He was the first astronaut to be designated to get his wings from the Prime Minister yesterday (Feb 27). His parents and I were there to witness it LIVE, and we all had our eyes brimming and had to wipe off the tears to see clearly. Definetly, a huge honour.”
