Sidharth Malhotra Interview: On Indian Police Force, Shilpa Shetty, NAIVE Years In Bollywood
In an exclusive interview with ETimes, the actor opened up on if he’s decided to collect all kinds of uniforms, and he said his idea is to collect ‘hero’ characters.Talking about it he said, “The idea is to collect all the hero characters and be remembered for them. Yodha obviously is a fictional tale, and so in that sense it has a unique world and setting. However, the idea is to do hero films and hero characters – that is what I came to do in Mumbai.”
“Also if you see, the ‘hero’ genre is back, especially in the last 2 years, the audience wants their heroes and that ‘filminess’ is back … maybe we had shied away from it at certain times. But when it comes to the masses, it is the genre that I enjoy a lot, and that is the intent to play Hindi film heroes and have all kinds of different characters and dialogues. Where else do we get to say dialogues like, ‘Yeh Dil Maange More’ from Shershaah or ‘Delhi Ka Launda Hu’ from Indian Police Force,” he added.
The trailer of Yodha is all set to release today, in the film Sidharth will be seen sharing the space with Rashii Khanna and Disha Patani. The film revolves around a hijacked plane and the makers of the film had launched the poster of the film in Dubai at the height of 33, 000 feet.
