Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya has had a steady run at the box office. In its third week, the film has gone on to collect around Rs 10.7 crore in the last 7 days. The film began its third weekend on a strong note, as it collected Rs 2.5 crore on Friday, Rs 2.4 crore on Saturday and Rs 2.65 crore on Sunday. But the film saw a major drop on Monday to collect only Rs 80 lakhs, but since then on the film has managed a steady run at the cash counter by collecting Rs 80 lakhs on Tuesday, Rs 85 lakhs on Wednesday and Rs 70 lakhs in Thursday, thus taking the third week total of the film to Rs 10.7 crore. The overall collection of the film now stands at Rs 76.70 crore. The film collected Rs 44.35 crore in the first week, in its second week the film earned Rs 21.65 crore.
After the success of “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani” last year, Shahid and Kriti’s film was the first love story to hit the big screen. Despite high expectations, fueled by its music, dance videos, and the chemistry between the leads, the film failed to resonate with audiences, particularly in the interiors, which often play a crucial role in a film’s success.
The film is currently facing some competition from Yami Gautam starrer Article 370, which is enjoying a strong momentum at the box office and has minted more than Rs 35 crore in its first week. The next major release for the industry is Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan’s Shaitaan, releasing on 8th March.
