Ajay Devgn is gearing up to make a return to the silver screen with the much-anticipated movie ‘Maidaan‘, poised to thrill audiences to the celebrated era of Indian football’s rise. The film reportedly chronicles the inspiring true story of Syed Abdul Rahim, credited with bringing immense glory to Indian football between 1952 and 1962. Originally slated for release in 2023, ‘Maidaan’ faced multiple delays.However, Devgn has now officially announced the film’s new release date and unveiled an exciting new poster.
On Instagram, Ajay shared a new poster and revealed that it will hit theatres this Eid in April 2024. Apart from Ajay Devgn, the cast of ‘Maidaan’ features Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Rudranil Ghosh in prominent roles. Directed by Amit R. Sharma, the film is produced by Zed Studios, Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla, and Arunava Joy Sengupta. Excitingly, ‘Maidaan’ will be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam languages.
On the professional front, Ajay recently appeared in ‘Bholaa,’ the official remake of the Tamil film ‘Kaithi.’ His next venture is the eagerly awaited horror thriller ‘Shaitaan,’ co-starring Jyotika and R.
