In an interview with Mirchi Plus, Rohit shared insights into his film career, revealing that while he feels personally fulfilled, he doesn’t consider himself fully satisfied as an artist.
Rohit Roy expressed that while he feels content and happy personally, he remains eager for opportunities to do the kind of work he truly desires. He questioned the need for comparisons or excessive praise, indicating that he believes in his own abilities to deliver solid performances. He said, “I am happy and content, but I’m also hungry for the type of work I aspire to do. It’s one thing to doubt my abilities, but when people write after every show or film that I’ve performed excellently, that I gave Hrithik Roshan a run for his money in ‘Kaabil,’ or stole the thunder in the ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala‘ climax… Why do you write that? If you’re saying that, it means I’ve done a decent job.”

Rohit Roy expressed frustration over the disconnect between his perceived success and the opportunities it brings. Despite starring in hit films like ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’ and ‘Kaabil,’ he lamented that these successes didn’t necessarily lead to more substantial roles or consistent work. He mentioned waiting for projects like ‘Mumbai Saga’ and feeling dissatisfied with the gaps between significant opportunities. He emphasized his hunger for fulfilling roles, noting that he still appears youthful and energetic, contrary to his age.
